About Me

Hello, my name is Michelle Vocke and I’m a Craft-aholic (and I don’t use that term loosely).

Yes, I’ll own up to it because I know my parents would tell you that I have been passionate about the arts and crafting since childhood. In fact, I remember getting in trouble when I was 7 years old because I kept catching paper on fire while trying to heat emboss on our gas stove. I’m sure I am not the only one to ever do that! I progressed from “open flame heat embossing” to cutting strips of paper to add names and captions to all of my dad’s magnetic photo albums (I don’t think he was too crazy about all the stars I used to dot my “i’s” and end my “y’s). We moved a lot, so of course I had to create my own stationery to keep in touch with friends. And no flea market would be complete without my brother and me selling the jewelry and hand-sewn purses we created.

Flash forward to today, where I feel very blessed and lucky to have a truly amazing husband and a wonderful and talented son that continue to encourage me to pursue creative passions. My scrapbooking style is classic with sprinkles of trends and techniques that intrigue me thrown in the mix. I enjoy teaching classes and watching the creative spirit come alive in others. I am also a Freelance Writer who gets to write about my passions from my home in Leesburg, VA.
